I'm attending an evening wedding in November. Right now I'm thinking of wearing a dark blue eyelet shift dress and paired it with gold heels. But I read from other websites that the shoes should match the dress, meaning dark with dark or light with light. What's you suggestion? I'm planning to carry a small black patent evening bag. It has a tinge of gold at the flap area.

I think hats are charming in outdoor weddings. I wore one with fresh roses on it to be the matron of honor at my sister's wedding. (Works to add polish to the guests, too - Think Princess Di....)
