The cuter the shoe, the higher my suffer meter goes. I love the look of a medium heel with a band that goes across the widest part of the foot (like the pink ones in this post). But they seem to be the most uncomfortable shoe for my foot. They give me blisters on my big toes! Sometimes a hidden padded bandaid solves that problem, but not always. Also, I pick my shoe for the day based on what kind of day I think I'll be having. My job has me doing everything from sitting behind a desk all day, to driving around town and making several stops along the way. I save the more uncomfortable shoes for days that I'll be desk bound. Once in a while, I get caught with the wrong shoe on my foot. I should keep a pair of comfy sandals in my car. I think every woman has a shoe suffer meter.
