It’s official: H&M is coming to Seattle
August 2nd, 2007Well Seattleites, a genie has granted our wish. Mega-funky and ultra-affordable Swedish retail giant H&M announced that they will be opening a store at U-Village in Spring 2008. It’s about time! Ideally, I’d have preferred the store’s location to be downtown because traffic around the University District can be brutal. But I’m not complaining. I shall be counting down the days as my fashion feet move even faster. Check out the announcement on Facebook (you will need to log in to see the page). Thanks to a friend for spotting this and letting me know.

Hooray! I was just in Las Vegas and was excited to see that they had one there, until I actually went to the Planet Hollywood Mall and ran into a big wall with a sign that read “H&M coming in September 2007.” Blast! Now I will just have to be taunted by similar signs at U Village for a year. It will be worth the wait…

WooWooHooooo! What wonderful news. I’ll be socking away H&M Budget starting TODAY! I also have to agree with you on the placement. It’s likely better suited downtown, but by being in UVillage I hope hope hope that means it will include their amazing children’s department… how could it not?!
Thanks for the terrific announcement. Somehow I knew I’d hear it from favorite fashionista first!

This is my first visit to this site and what good and exciting news.
Something I want to share with you. I have never heard of H&M and it sounds great, but a good place to go until it opens is in the Everett Mall. It’s called Steve & Barry’s. They have Bitten, Starbury, dear (and eventhough I don’t do golf) babba golf. Bitten is Sarah Jessica Parker and Starbury is Stephon Marbury with Big Ben Wallace’s own signature shoes. They are also “Mega-funky and ultra-affordable”, they just need to increase the amount of stuff - everything goes so quickly! I a woman who is 56 and short waisted and I found some Bitten high rise jean - Hallelujah! for less than $15.00!!!!!!!!
