I just bought a bag today that has plum trim around a simple plaid pattern of hot pink, purple, lavender, and orange squares with lines of purple and yellow. The colors work surprisingly well together. Unfortunately, the hot pink shoes I tried on with great hopes didn't look quite right (too much toe cleavage). I'm still looking, though.
