Extra-slim jeans for tall slender blokes
September 21st, 2007Tall and slim gents can face a challenge with jeans. Mainstream straight-leg or boot-cut denim styles are often too baggy on the leg and bottom, too roomy at the waist, and short in the length. Banana Republic have come out with a range of Euro-cut slim fit jeans that look fantastic on this male body type. The range starts at a 29W and goes as long as a 36L. They’re 100% cotton, lovely quality and cost $98.
Levis 527’s will also do the trick. They start at a 28W but only go as long as a 34L. They’re also 100% cotton, but cost half the price at $48. My friend Laurel found that the Levis worked perfectly for her tall and slender hubby and I thank her for this great info. It’s super that more and more options become available to us each season.

Angie, what about short and (Extremely) slender guys like mine? Do you think these styles would work as well? We have so much trouble finding men’s clothing that starts at 28 or XS. I’m starting to consider shopping in the boys department for him.

This is great information since my husband fits this category and rarely fits the available jeans. Thank you.

Thanks sooooo much! I’ve been looking for some jeans for my husband that show off his legs (he’s got great ones). Most other jeans look so sloppy on him.

Hi, I’m 6′3, with a 31″ waist. I cannot find jeans that fit anywhere. I have really thin legs, and the only thing that works on me are dress pants. I lucked out ONCE, and there were a pair of jeans at this place with a 36″ leg, and 31″ waist, they were thick, so, my legs didn’t look so skinny, and they flaired out at the bottom, helping the skinny factor once again. I’d buy 20 pairs of those for life if someone would just make them.

Absolutely Christie. These styles come in 30 inch inseams as well….and then of course…there is always the option of tailoring. Us women need to do this all the time!

Thanks for the help. My son is in high school and I can’t find a pair of jeans to fit. He’s 5′ 11″ and skinny. He has been wearing long shirts and his pants on his hips to make them long enough. It shouldn’t be to much to ask manufactors to make smaller waist sizes in longer lengths.

If you are looking for 29w x 34L, don’t waist time with Banana Republic.
They only have 34L starting at 32/34W. Not exactly skinny. Pretty standard in my book. Gap.com seemed to have a few pair to choose from.

it seems strange that no one seems to fill this market gap. i am 6.3″ and find it impossible to get jeans in 30 waist 36 leg now FCUK seem to have shortened theirs and it only leaves levis on line. I am sure there are lots of us out there doesnt someone want to make money!

I got my long skinny pants at Buckle. Best jeans I’ve ever had: about $75. Employees were even really super serviceable.
