Love scarves. Appreciate seeing some new ways to tie them. Longer scarves work best with the loop. I also love to wear my fringed wraped into several layers around my neck. I find the fringe to be a very soft and feminine fram for my face. I just realized though that most of my scarves are dark or neutral. I love the color of the scarf in pic #1.

I love the way the blue one is looped. I need to wear more scarfs because I do like them- I just feel like a scarf gets in my way but I'll experiment with different ways of wearing it!

I can only do thin scarves, because the wider ones make me look like a chipmunk, but I love wearing them and have several. I often get compliments on them, especially when I wear them with a hooded cardigan. Great winter style!

Yes Angie. It is the only accessory I can bring myself to wear (aside from earrings when I really dress up and my wedding band). I also love the pashmina styles. And the best thing is that if you are inside and a little chilled, you can wrap them around you like a shawl. I am often a little chilled! I like crazy, sporty type scarves for casual attire--walking in the park, heading a movie, etc..., but for smart casual or dressier, I prefer the pashmina style.

I do see scarves worn vertically as slimming because they draw the eye up and down. The opposite holds true when you wear a scarf horizontally (like a neckerchief), unless you have a long slim neck that counterbalances the effect. The shape of your neck will dictate the type of scarf that’s best for you too. Some necks don't look as good in chunky knits as others. I've found that a thin cashmere or wool pashmina-like scarf is a great default thickness and length for all neck types. I've attached a link of the type of scarf fabrication and size I'm talking about below. The model is not wearing the scarf like a scarf though.

It's really soft and collapses in a flattering way around all types of necks and in all types of knots. You don't feel like you're being strangled.

I love the way you wear your scarves Christie. It sounds like "the scarf" is very much part of your signature style. All my scarves are pashminas (accept for sporty snowboarding ones) because I've found them versatile. They can be casual and dressy at the same time.

As I've mentioned many times on here, I love scarves. I keep them on hangers, and now have several hangers full (with 3 to 5 on each hanger). I prefer three of those above looks. For my thinner scarves (think thinner pashmina) or shorter scarves, I wear the look on the right (blue) under my coats or with jackets when I go outside. With my longer and/or thicker scarves, I wear the tie that is the second from the left (red). But whenever I get to wear I'm going and take off my jacket, I wear the one on the far left. That is my "I'm inside and not walking around much" look. I also tend to choose that look if I'm wearing a scarf on a cool but not cold day, and the ends are not too long. I find that otherwise it is too difficult to walk with the scarf-ends getting suck between my legs.

When I was growing up in Vancouver, scarves were one of my most-used accessories. Since moving to California, they sit unused. They do look great! However, I'm not sure I agree that they are slimming! Fabulous and cozy...yes. Slimming? Hmmmmm.
