Sports bra: the ultimate shock absorber
April 7th, 2008It’s makes a big difference when we wear the correct gear for sporting activities, and bras are no exception. A recent discussion on the YLF forum suggests that “Shock Absorber” bras are a very good choice. The brand offers various levels of support and you can go with or without underwire. Wearing sports bras for working out is a must because heavy perspiration shortens the life of everyday bras. So you’ll actually be saving money after the initial investment.
Thanks for the information Nicole and Ana. Shock Absorbers are available on Figleaves.com. Here’s to no more jiggle when we wiggle.

Thanks for the information on the sports bra in DD. It’s so hard to find that size.

I haven’t tried those either, but my favorite place to buy sports bras has to be www.titlenine.com. They have bras all over the map–cute AND functional included! They make their bras in DD+, too.

I am a 32HH and play rugby, which is a high-impact sport if there ever was one. I find that the Shock Absorbers run small in the band and a touch large in the cup — which is good, because they don’t go up to my cup size, so I go up a band size in them.
They’re quite comfy and keep me in well. I do tend to layer them just to be extra safe and secure, but I can & have played games & gone running in just one.

I love the shock absorber because it keeps everything separated and in place, which a traditional sports bra just doesn’t do for me. Plus, it’s the most comfortable sports bra I’ve worn.

I agree with purchasing a good sportsbra. I have bought cheap ones and have paid for it in pain! I usually purchase Hind brand and I LOVE them.

I second the Natori recommendation. Best sports bra I’ve ever had - I’m a 34D.

I’ll have to check these out - thank you. I’ve tried many many brands and models and the only one that has worked for me so far is Champion Action Shape sports bra. They have CoolMax technology which really helps wick away the sweat. And they last a long time!
