Strappy stacked sandals
May 13th, 2008This look is in its second season. We’re talking about a soaring three-inch-plus chunky heel with wide foot straps. It’s the high fashion look to wear with raised hemlines, clamdiggers and skinnies. I can appreciate the 70’s inspired sandal style, on someone else. I’m never sporting strappy sandals again, let alone a style with soaring heel heights (although chunky heels are my preference because I find them extra stable). But if you can walk comfortably in shoes like these, then by all means give them a bash. They add a high fashion edge to an outfit that is modern and appealing.

I love those shoes. 3″ is my maximum heel height though, and even then I prefer a wedge if I’m going to 3″.

I like these, but it’s a style that I haven’t yet tried myself. I really like second pair (the Fye Gerry Metal Bead sandal)!

I love these, especially the first pair! I actually have a somewhat similar pair from two seasons ago that I’m not sure if it’s dated or not, they are brown, the heel has the shame shape (2.5 “), but the top actually has a bunch of criss-cross thin straps
(huarache style). Hmm, maybe I’ll post their photo on the forum tonight so you guys can tell me if they are a keeper or not.

I won’t wear anything over 2 inches.
But they’re cute!

I really like the look of these shoes too. If I could wear them, I definitely would sport the style. They are simple, modern and elegant. Oh well. A girl can’t have it all. I’ve accepted that my feet are the hardest part of my body to dress and it is what it is. Go you girls with easy to please feet! (By all means post that picture tonight Tanya).

I like this look too and the stability. I also like wedges with the same silhouettes. I try to stay under 3″ as well

Those style of shoe would look great on you Patience, and we already know Tanya can sport funky shoes!
I’m with Shiny, I can’t go higher than about 2″. I love seeing other people wear them, though.

It is a very cute style and I prefer chunky 3 in. heels to stiletto 3 in. heels. I own a pair of multi-colored sandals that are Brazilian leather and have chunky heels like this and they go with practically everything in my closet! I love the look with knee length skirts and dresses, especially.
They also are very stable and easy to walk in; not wobbly at all.

yes, they are cute, but not child friendly. i can’t even begin to imagine running after my kids in these - i’ll stick to my converse!

I also have hard to please feet because of my incredibly high arch. I generally cannot go above 2-1/2 inches because of the pressure the angle puts on my feet. But I did find a style simular to these last month and the curve of the sole is perfect for my feet. I won’t say they are 8-hour shoes but I did get a good 5 hours out of them this weekend! Mine are more at the 2-1/2 inch height but with the nice solid heel, they were very comfortable AND stylish. I do hope this style stays around a while because it is nice to have cute girly-shoes that are also comfy.

I love them and I find them easy to wear. I feel sexy wearing them!!

Not flattering near a fat ankle, though!

cute and sexy, but not practical for me. I’ve found since I sprained my ankle a couple of months back I’m much more interested in wearing shoes that are comfortable
But for those who like and can wear them, knock yourselves out! You’ll look great!

oh I absolutely love them, I gotta get a pair, my feets gonna hurt, but that’s woth it, I think =D

3 inches is pretty much my limit. Sadly, the 4 inch sandals make me feel like I’m teetering and might fall over. I wear more wedges than stacked sandals because the 3 inch heels seem harder to find nowadays.
