Wow, I'm with Bonnie. I have about 20 pairs and I really only keep about 10 or 12 in the rotation (varying washes, styles and heel lengths).

I wear jeans basically every day, but that's no excuse for holding onto a bunch of pairs I never wear. Maybe I should just accept it and donate the ones I keep around for the time "when I lose a few pounds." Whenever that time rolls around, the jeans will be out of style anyway! And maybe it's okay if I don't still wear the same jeans I wore when I was 24... :)

Great conversation! It's always interesting to hear how much stuff other people have.

Hi Angie- I think that my Diesels are Fanke not Wanker- don't ask me where I got Wanker from- I just always called them that. I also have a 13 year old pair of men's Diesels that I love-
Anyway, my question is about a pair of J Brand bootcut- I had them shortened before I found you all and the lenght always bothered me- now I know why-not PPL. I would like to have them made into clamdiggers for summer and to tuck into boots in the winter. Does anyone know if it is also best to have them tapered and shortened? Thank you ladies!

Four Newport News jeans -- one dark blue, one black, med width; wide leg grey which I'm not sure about and a yellow pair.

I should say I've been losing weight so I'm not investing in the perfect pair of jeans until I get down a bit more.

A follow-up: I am considering ordering a pair of custom jeans ($135) from www.indidenim.com. Has anyone had any experience, positive or negative, with this service?

Oh now you're speaking my language. I *heart* jeans. I have a pair of David Kahn bootleg for heels. I have to be at my thinnest to fit in them, though, so I don't wear them a whole lot.

I have 3 pair of Luckys - one dark wash bootcut for heels. These have been my favorite go-to casual jeans for running around town in boots or wedge heels. I recently replaced them with a pair of Paige that I absolutely adore.

The other two Luckys are for flats - one dark wash and one light wash. I wear these all the time with ballet flats, running around with the kids.

I have a pair of white jeans from the Loft, but I don't care for them. They don't fit well.

I just retired a pair of Gap Long & Leans that I rarely wear.

I have a pair of Sevens (the Ginger jean) dark wash trouser jean for dress-up.

I'd like to get another pair of the Paiges that I just bought and get them hemmed for flats. The two pair of Luckys that I wear with flats are getting quite worn.

And I just bought a pair of Joe Jeans in a cropped style. LOVE them for summer, running around with the kids. They are sweet.

I would like to find a really fabulous pair of white jeans to replace the ones from the Loft.

So that's, 8 if you count the cropped ones.

1 pair Levis bootcut button fly
1 pair Seven's straight leg distressed black
and my current favorite - Paige Premium Denim Laurel Canyon Dark Blue

I've thought about getting a pair of skinnies - haven't got around to it yet. Any suggestions? Thank you.
