Nice point, Tanya. Sounds like we already have a “Michelle O”.

Maggie London does a great commercial product. A spot too much polyester, but super all the same.

Christie, Donna Ricco dresses go down to a size 2 in store and the fits are small (at least they were a few years ago). She also does a petites range that’s smaller. Petite dresses often work even if you’re not petite. But at 5’ 4” you should have no problem.

I’d never advocate an overexposed style of a dress. The main message of this post was that tasteful mainstream fashion is fab too, despite your capacity to afford exclusive designer wear. It’s how you put yourself together in the end that’s seals the deal. Michelle O would look great in a brown paper bag.

Antje, I recently bought the poppy print dress in the photo and wore it last weekend for a date. The cut is slightly different - mine has a square necline with slighly puffed sleeves. And the coolest part is it has two cleverly camouflaged pockets that make the dress flirty but edgy. The color is gorgeous - definitely made me stand out in a sea of black and I got tons of compliments from strangers. Yay for Donna!

I love the dress in the photo, however I agree with WK--I wouldn't want to wear the exact dress Michelle had because it's overexposed and way too many people probably already have it. But I like the simplicity and wearability of Donna Ricco's style and will definitely keep an eye out for her designs. I have long been familiar with Maggie London's line and I like her dresses too!

Bought a Donna Ricco last year and it's still going strong. Great fabric and great fit for this pear. Reasonably priced. Dana, yes--Maggie London has a great line too. I bought one this year and am impatiently waiting for the weather to get warm in Seattle. London also made darling little crop sweaters to go with dresses. I have one in ivory and one in black.

Does she really only make dresses down to size 4? That's unfortunate. I am on a dress-buying spree this summer and was loving this suggestion. What about the small-framed among us?

You look Fab is the first thing I read every morning (LOVE it), I received an email from White house/ Black market subject title- “Our Famous Dress! As Seen on The View” right after I read this post. They are calling this dress” Road to the White house Style” I was impressed by their marketing strategic but turn off by the overexposure.

This dress is totally my style; however, can’t picture myself wearing something over exposed. How do you add your personal style to a famous dress?

I just bought a Donna Ricco dress at the recent Nordie's sale -- and then saw it featured in the last issue of "Working Mother" magazine. I was feeling tres hip. I'm also having great luck with Maggie London dresses.

I have to say that I really like Donna Ricco's dresses. They seem to be very feminine and flirty.
