Ladies,
Don't worry about the colors! After surviving the first winter in the European fashion capita,l as for which they proudly call Milan, I have to tell you: every color is better than black, black and.....black. Try to imagine: rainy and foggy city full of fast running people from head to toe in black! One day, the boss of my husband did a nice sort of welcoming gesture and invited me for lunch with their department:You should have seen them chocking over their pasta when I took the coat of and presented my fuchsia jacket over the red top.....;-)
Also, may I join Antje in question: what on earth is a peplum jacket??

When you say bowed blouses, I hope you don't mean with those big floppy bows a'la 1980's style. Ick. I think I was scarred for life with those. . .

Fall shopping is fun and exciting! Grey doesn't look good on me especially around my face. But I do like crimson. Can you give some advice on scarves--I think they are neat but don't know how to pull the look off. Thanks for the fall preview Angie!

I’m impressed with those who have made a good start to their Autumn shopping list. Well done!

Tanya, I’m with you. Autumn is my favourite shopping season and I can scarcely contain myself when the goods appear in store. Boots, jackets, hose and coats are right up my alley. Simply divine.

The voluminous trend is here to stay. Sculptured silhouettes ARE voluminous. But they’ll stand alongside sleek profiles. There’s hopefully something for everyone. I adore the voluminous trend when the piece is right. It’s arty-farty and retro. I’m counting on great voluminous pieces for Autumn.

I’m not into the multitudes of empire cut tops we’re seeing at the moment. Offering a wide variety is great, but there’s just TOO much empire cut top business going on. And I don’t own a single style. Not enough choice! ( You’re getting a rant early).

I’m weary of wide-legged pants, and they’re harder to wear than you might expect. But I have to say that Nicole wears them well and I hope that she manages to find as many as she needs.

I’m excited about the Autumn preview. Bowed blouses, ruffles, skinnies, scarves and animal accents are very appealing. I choose to bypass anything hippy and boho, but have friends and clients that look terrific in the look.

As for biker jackets, they have been a staple in my wardrobe since the ‘80’s. I have continually updated this look when necessary and will always wear one. Matched with a chunky strand of pearls, a girly blouse or crisp ruffled shirt, jeans and heels, I’m set. It’s probably one of my favourite looks of all time.

Ladies who have asked questions about peplum jackets and layered necklaces, I’m keeping you in suspense!

I'd like to see the demise of the maxi dress, along with empire waist dresses and tops, big-legged pants, and leggings :D

Wow! I'm impressed with everyone's excitement!

Personally, I'm rather frightened. I hate lace, I don't like hippie clothes, and feathers?? WTH?? FEATHERS??? I'm not a bow kind of girl, I don't wear belts well, and I love wide legged trousers!

I like the colors, but I don't think of colors as being in or out of fashion. People should wear what looks good on them, and it seems like there is always some color options out there these days. I like the idea of over the knee boots, but not sure I'd actually wear them (maybe...I would, just not sure where!), and I could get into a biker jacket--but it would have to be classy looking.

I dunno...I'll have to see what it looks like. I'm not usually such a nay-sayer--so I find this disheartening. I'm still trying to figure out feathers...all I can picture are those gawd-awful roach clip things girls put in the hair in the 70's. OMG, you guys will have to duct tape to the walls if people start wearing feathers in their hair!

One question: What are winter florals? Are they florals in neutral colors, or florals that don't feature leaves?
