Happy Fourth of July
July 4th, 2008Red, white and blue is a winning outfit combination. Throw in some yellow or green and you’ve kicked it up a notch. How many of you will make the effort of wearing these colours today? I’ll bite. I’m in skinny jeans, ink blue tunic with huge white buttons, red chunky necklace and cami, yellow ballet flats and yellow tote. My white skinnies are in the wash but my white watch completes the palette. I feel a little more American today.

I’ll bite - I’m in my one pair of jeans, red cami and white 3/4 sleeve jacket - I also have a red,white, blue loooong scarf knotted so it becomes like a soft necklace and red funky Trippen shoes. I don’t usually wear this all together, but it looks cute and patriotic and fun. Please remember our soldiers today and have a great 4th!

The Fourth of July on Shabbat is a bit anticlimactic for me. But I’ll still dress the part. For tonight, I’ll wear a red and white dress (mostly red with white abstract floral design) and a blue sweater. Paired with gold wedge sandals.

Thank you for the reminder - we’re going to a party tonight and I’ll wear red shirt with blue cami, white clam diggers, a multicolored beaded necklace, and yellow wedges and purse and trench if it continues to be cool outside! How fun, now my “what to wear” dilemma is solved - thank you

Oh, the powers of YLF… I really wasn’t gonna do the red, white & blue look, but now I’m getting pulled into the challenge. I might just have to take a look at my closet. Had the blue clamdiggers in mind anyway; now I’ll see if I want to pair it with my cute white blouse and a red cami underneath.
I did just prep a red, white and blue dessert to take to a BBQ tonite (strawberry and blueberry shortcakes with lemon cream), now that was fun. I always embrace holidays in the food department.

Hmm I was in brown today. Oh well. I only left my house to sit with my dad for a few hours. I postponed my Independence Day party to Sunday due to weather. I’ll look for something festive on Sunday.
