H&M Sweater -- a keeper?

I finally made it out to the new H&M in Seattle. We were having record high temps so it was difficult to get motivated to buy fall/winter clothes. But I did get this sweater. It's a lightweight wool with short sleeves and I'm not sure what to wear under it for the winter. The sweater is burgundy with black trim and buttons.

With bootcut jeans and a black long-sleeve tee (I didn't realize the flash was off until I loaded it up so it's a bit dark):

CRS is good, but comments on what works or doesn't work are helpful. I'm an hourglass with pear tendencies.

I like it with black tee and skinny jeans ( top from the first and bottom from the second outfit). I also like your go-go look!

Thanks, Tanya. I like it with the skinnies also. I don't really go out to places that I could wear the go-go look, but it was fun to try on!

i love the go-go look, actually, but I'd love to see it with some reddish-brown or camel-colored boots.

they dress looks great with the skinnies too

the outfit would look great with some chunky gold jewelry or perhaps pearls.

Definitely a keeper. I think you can do lots with it...the go-go outfit is super. I agree with Tanya's suggestion of the black tee and the skinny jeans combo. Should be fun to play around with

The first and the last look were really good, though I'd say the skinnies were better than the bootcut jeans. But the white top was too much of a contrast and not a slim enough fit, I'm thinking.

Thanks, everyone. I guess I'm going to have to find somewhere to wear the go-go outfit because it's a hit! I like Shell's idea of wearing it with brown boots. Now it has to into the closet until the weather cools off...

I love the contrast with white which makes me wonder if you can play with other lighter colors for contrast. Also love the go-go look!

Looks fab aj! Nice boots.

Love your skinnies. Love the go-go look too. I don’t see that as an outfit you can’t wear daily. What is holding you back? All it is, is a dress with boots. It’s not shiny, or an inappropriate ensemble. Go for it. You look wonderful.
