Is it okay to wear these combos

As we're moving into the fall, I am looking at the contents of my wardrobe and here are a few things I am uncertain about. Would it be a faux pas to wear:
1- crew neck cardigan under a blazer (assuming the cardigan is thin)
2- trench coat with flats or pumps with no socks - or do you have to wear closed shoes?
3- patterned tights with pumps (I thought about this one after seeing the patterned tights post where everyone talked about boots)

I do not see a problem with any of those combos, of course if things work well together from the color/style point of view. I have already worn trenches with ballet flats (which I wear without socks). For the patterned tights I somehow a envision a chunky pump, but it could be a matter of personal taste.

Thanks Tanya! Yes, I meant chunky pumps - that the only type I have and can wear. I can't quite explain why I am hesitant about blazer + cardigan - I think of them both as outer layers I guess.

I agree with Tanya on the trench and on the chunky pumps with textures tights. If the colors and textures work for the jacket and thin cardigan, I don't see a problem combining them.

On the crew neck cardigan under a blazer, with the crew neck line, you will probably need something for interest at the neck like chunky pearls, beads, or a scarf. The scarf would be the easiest fix and very fall-like.

I don't see any issues with these combos.

The only potential issue with the cardi/blazer is if there is visible "bulk". But if the blazer is roomy enough to accomodate the cardi then no prob!

I definitely wear my trench with flats and pumps, I think it's a good look.

Regarding the patterned tights and pumps, I think it's a good look, but I haven't tried it out yet myself. I bought a pair of patterned tights but they are still in the package. I very much hope it'll be ok with pumps.
