Now that the weather is cooler, I want to wear socks with my loafers. I have a new pair of Me Too flats in brown suede that look great with jeans. It's too chilly to go sockless but I have not figured out what socks to wear. Is there a "rule" for pants/socks/shoes?

Should I be trying to match my skintone so it still looks like I am sockless? I've tried beige colored trouser socks and they just look like really, really bad pantyhose.
