WIW: the magic Nine West dress

The Nine West fan dress arrived and you all are right -- it IS a magic dress! Love it! I'm trying it with a Halogen cardi today. The color of the photo is a little off -- the cardi is really closer to the ighter blue of the dress.

Do you think this look is too young for me?

Ooh, I like! As we know, I'm not the one to ask about age appropriateness lol, but I think it's just fine. There is not too much leg, or cleavage or anything that's a supposed no no at a certain age.

What a great dress for you, lovely color. You look extra Fabulous in this, and very age appropriate imo. I have been pondering that dress lately, too. I know for me it will be too short (I'm 5'9) so it would be worn with leggings or skinnies like a tunic. Does it run true to size, Mary?

I'd say it runs large, aside from the length. I ordered the 8 and held my breath because sometimes my large chest is a problem but it fits perfectly! If you're not large-busted I'd go down a size or even two. I think it would be great as a tunic!

I am not crazy about this style/cut cardigan with this dress, to my eyes the styles clash and the cardi brings the dress down. Try a "cheeky" denim jacket or a black or cream moto style jacket instead.

Carole, I am just about 5'9" and this dress was too short but I thought that I could wear it as a tunic, but when neeva posted her pictures wearing it with black opaque hose, Angie and others told her to wear it with sheerer ones, so I decided to just return mine because the dress is a clingy knit and to wear it with knit pants/leggings, well I decided if it wasn't going to be a 10, to let it go. I also would size up, especially since you are tall. I would love to see how it looks with leggings.

Angie, now that I'm looking at the picture, I'm not happy with the blue/green cardi. I think I'm going home at lunch to change into a black cardi. Thoughts?

Claudia, this is a work outfit so no cheeky denim or moto jacket for me today! LOL The boots are as daring as I, uh, dare!

Great dress - the print looks like an abstracted butterfly wing. Such beautiful colours. I'll also echo that it's perfectly age-appropriate (not that I really care about that), and that a denim/moto jacket would look great with it.

Wow Maryk you look stunning blue is definitely your color. The dress fits perfect. I went on Overstock to order that dress and it has gone up in price that is strange.The boots look sassy.
